The warm summer weather is always something to celebrate. However, the warmth also brings along with it some pesky bugs and insects like mosquitoes. What if we told you that you could enjoy your warm summer evenings outside without having to constantly swat away mosquitoes?

Well, at Outdoor Expressions Landscaping, we offer unmatched mosquito control in the East Lansing, Michigan area including Okemos and Haslett. This program includes 5 visits from our crew, each with a thorough application of pesticides that include Bifenthrin as the active ingredient.

What to Expect from Our Mosquito Control Program

When you sign up for our mosquito control program, you will receive 5 different visits from our crew. Our first application will be in the month of May to jumpstart the "mosquito season." From then on, we will apply four more treatments with about 30 days in between each application. Our last visit will be in August, which will give you lasted protection into the cooler fall weather.

Here's what you can expect at every visit:

Our team prides itself on how thorough we are, especially with our mosquito control program. Our licensed professionals know exactly how and where to spray your property to target the areas where mosquitoes will congregate the most. These areas include:

  • Mulched areas
  • Dense plant material (low-hanging trees, shrubs, hedges, and tall grasses)
  • Under structures such as decks, porches, and stairways

To top it all off, we will spray around the perimeter of spots where people tend to gather. This can include places like play areas, BBQ setups, fire pits, patios, etc. These perimeters of mosquito control will create thick barriers that will allow you, your family, and your friends to have a great, mosquito-free gathering!

We Use Bifenthrin as Our Active Ingredient

We understand that you want to know exactly what is going to be sprayed on your property, especially if you have kids or pets to worry about. That is why our company is always transparent with our customers. With every mosquito control application, we use an active ingredient called bifenthrin. This ingredient will kill adult mosquitos on initial contact. However, it also works long after the initial application. For about 30 days, bifenthrin will continue to actively eradicate the mosquitoes in your yard.

When we apply bifenthrin to targeted areas on your property, you will see our crew using backpack sprayers rather than the backpack foggers that most other companies that offer mosquito control services use. The reason we insist on spraying rather than fogging is that spraying allows us to penetrate targeted areas much easier. For example, when we are spraying dense plant material, our liquid spray will get where we need it to go much easier than fog will.

Bifenthrin also targets other insects such as fire ants, gnats, beetles, grasshoppers, and flies.
